Ivy also recommended against certain skin diseases, for the bites of poisonous spiders and snakes, as a contraceptive, as a blood anticoagulant and antispasmodic in bunions, varicose veins and rheumatism
Use: 1/2 teaspoon in a cup of warm water to soak (infusion) for 7-10 minutes, strain and drink.
What you need to know is that using Ivy internal needs caution. In large doses the herb is poisonous and causes vomiting. Nervous disorders and meningitis are also possible in overdosing.
It should be avoided during pregnancy and lactation.
