Meatballs with ouzo and oats
ingredients:
½ pound of ground beef
½ kilo minced pork
1 large onion
8 tbsp oatmeal
6 tbsp olive oil
8 tbsp ouzo
2 eggs
Salt and pepper
Spearmint and Caraway
Flour and vegetable oil for frying
Execution:
Melt onion in a food processor. Put all ingredients in a bowl and knead well. Leave in the fridge for half an hour. Then shape it small meatballs, Dust some flour lightly and fry in plenty of hot oil
Take them out on paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve warm with a mixed salad, and of course a glass of ouzo with lots of ice!
