Recipe for Melomakarona
Ingredients:
• 2 cups of olive oil
• Whole wheat flour as long as it gets
• 1 cup of brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda
• 1 cup orange juice (natural non-commercial)
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder
• 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon of chopped carnation
• 1 large orange jar
For the syrup•
1 cup of honey
• 1 cup of brown sugar
• 1 orange
• 3 cinnamon sticks
• Walnuts for garnish
Execution:
In a bowl pour the oil the sugar the cinnamon the clove the zest. Mix the soda with the orange juice and pour it into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Stir the ingredients with the mixer for 2 minutes. Leave the mixer to the tip and slowly pour the flour that you have mixed with the baking powder and knead until it becomes a soft and fluffy dough. Cut the melomakarona in the size and shape you want and place it on the plate and oven that you have preheated and bake for 20 minutes on the middle staircase upwards until they get color.

Until the melomacarona is cooked, prepare the syrup.
