Melted Ghee butter is made by heating the butter over low heat until all the water evaporates, the milk solids separate and the butter turns a golden clear oil.
Good taste is not the only advantage of this butter. Ghee butter is perfect for high temperature cooking due to its high smoke point: water (boiling at 100 °C) is evaporated and milk solids (starting to burn at 125 °C) are removed during the preparation process.
Melted butter is ideal for sautéing, sauteing, frying and frying.
For porridges Ghee butter gives shine, for soups or sauces it gives a yellowish shade and improves nutritional properties. Suitable for babies and children.
