Cretan carob tea (300g)Besides its healthy benefits such as constipation and osteoporosis, carob is a refreshing drink that can be consumed hot or cold as a tea.
The preparation is simple. Wash carob and put two spoonful of carobs in a cup of warm water. Boil for about 20 minutes.
If you prefer it cold, put some ice on it and wait until it cools down. The carob spreads its sweetness in the water, so no sugar needed. On the other hand, if you like your tea even sweeter, use carob syrup to sweeten.
It can be used in cooking as a garnish.
