The scent resembles to anise and when added in the wine it is known as "anthitis wine '. In Middle Eastern cuisine, dill is used in seasonal vegetables and meat, such as lamb and spinach. The German cuisine is based on this herb garnish of potato soup. Also, dill is used as a key ingredient in the famous Greek soup "Μagiritsa" served during the Easter.
